Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering to lead the OSP engineering team and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The role requires collaboration across the Construction Department and with multiple internal teams and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have eight years of OSP experience, strong leadership, and expertise in fiber optic documentation and permitting processes.

Qualifications

Minimum of eight years of outside plant (OSP) experience, including quoting and permitting.
Developed leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead others.
Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
Advanced understanding of the permitting process for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
Experience managing capital budgets.

Responsibilities

Lead an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team and provide leadership and mentorship.
Staffing, scheduling and compliance for OSP engineering and construction activities.
Oversee engineering work orders and ensure they meet company standards, NESC, and local requirements.
Coordinate project schedules with contractors, property management and government agencies.
Verify contractor invoices for accuracy and process to AP in a timely manner.
