Job summary

TriNet Group is seeking an engineer/designer to create cost-effective, accurate OSP construction prints while meeting client deadlines. The role blends design and field-ready engineering to support long-term fiber/copper installations.

You will analyze access points, design aerial/underground paths, attach cables to poles, and navigate rights of way on public and private properties, ensuring no conflicts with existing facilities. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred.
• Understanding of outside plant engineering and construction techniques.
• Experience with AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Experience with Outside Plant engineering for FTTX networks.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design cost-effective, accurate OSP prints.
• Identify fiber/copper pairs at access points and design aerial/underground path.
• Determine requirements to attach cables to poles and place cables underground.
• Engineer in right of way and private property avoiding conflicts with existing facilities.
