Job summary

MasTec Communications Group seeks a full-time OSP Designer to support large-scale telecom projects, focusing on outside plant design for fiber and copper networks.

Responsibilities include site visits, route design, coordination with GIS/CAD teams, ensuring compliance with permits, and delivering cost-effective, high-quality designs aligned with customer specs. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, OCalc, and 3-GIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sound OSP engineering experience deploying fiber optic and Copper networks.
• Knowledge of engineering principles within the OSP field and industry standards.
• 3+ years of OSP Design engineering experience.
• 1+ years QC review experience on OSP Design packages.

Responsibilities

• Complete site visits and develop cost-efficient fiber/copper network routes.
• Read road prints, maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts.
• Coordinate with GIS/CAD teams to produce required documentation for applications.
