Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a talented Designer to perform detailed outside plant (OSP) and fiber network designs for telecommunication projects. The role blends office design work with on-site field support alongside construction teams, guiding quality and safety in every step.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in OSP telecom, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with GIS is a plus. Florence, KY area with 90% home-based work and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe; GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH deployments and commercial developments.
• Work with power company and design power routes and one-line schematics.
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes.
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records.
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes.
• Conduct site walks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
