Job summary

Lumosfiber is seeking an experienced OSP Construction Project Engineer for full-time work in a market that requires frequent onsite presence. The role oversees line crews, splicers, and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time completion within CAPEX budgets.

Applicants should have 5+ years in OSP engineering/construction, a high school diploma (associates/bachelor’s preferred), and a valid driver’s license. Fiber/telecom experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains relationships with local subcontractors and partners to manage OSP crews’ activity safely, on time, and within budget.
• Tracks crew progress and reports real-time status to internal teams.
• Partners with and monitors OSP contractor crews to drive a safety culture at worksites.
• Engages with municipalities, utilities, and communities to drive progress and address concerns.
• Ensures OSP crews meet NESC code for aerial construction.
• Ensures safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe record.
• Assists with materials forecasting, scheduling, and permitting.
• Performs other duties and cross-functional projects.
