Job summary

Lumos Networks Corp. is seeking an experienced field operations professional to own OSP builds across our markets and coordinate with contractors, municipalities, and internal teams.

You’ll drive safety, adherence to standards, and on-time delivery while managing multiple projects in a fast-moving environment. The role requires strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the market.

Qualifications

• Assoc/Bachelor degree in construction management, engineering, or telecom.
• Experience with FTTH, fiber deployment, and project management.
• Experience managing multiple active construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple OSP builds across the market from construction readiness through closeout.
• Set clear expectations for contractors and subcontractors, holding teams accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track production, schedules, costs, risks, and field progress, and keep stakeholders informed with clear, timely updates.
• Inspect active jobsites and ensure work meets OSHA, NESC, Lumos, and applicable construction standards.
• Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, municipalities, and other field dependencies that keep construction moving.
• Resolve field roadblocks and community concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
• Partner across Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain to improve how Lumos plans, builds, and scales.
