Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to create and modify orthotics, evaluate patients of all ages, and update care plans as needed. This role offers a sign-on bonus and potential relocation assistance for candidates moving 50+ miles.

The department emphasizes patient-centered care, education, and coordination with staff and students. New grads may qualify for the sign-on bonus, and experienced clinicians will be considered for the higher amount.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) per Illinois IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days per American Heart Association.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education regarding care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Treats patients with dignity and respect, providing empathetic care.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other providers.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Examinations and documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and efficacy.
• Supervises support personnel and provides feedback.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip and Knee program (if applicable).
• Evaluate impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions; establish care plans.
