Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to create and modify orthotics and to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adapting plans of care based on patient response. The role serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.

The position offers a sign-on bonus: $5,000 for new grads (<1 year post-grad/licensure) and $7,500 for those with 1+ year. Relocation is available if moving 50+ miles. Licensed PT in IL and BLS within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in IL (IDFPR)
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• Complete continuing education on acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Transfers with assistive devices and safe body mechanics
• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective methods
• Develops and adjusts plan of care with goals, treatment, and discharge plan
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes
• Documents according to CTSCP67
• Evaluates impairments related to orthopedic/neurologic conditions
• Completes objective testing (ROM, strength, daily tasks)
• Performs therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis)
• Communicates progress and recommendations to referring provider
