Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a fabrication-focused technician to work in a workshop setting, away from the exam room. You will fabricate and repair orthoses and prostheses, using band saws and other hand tools, under clinician guidance, contributing to patient care and device quality.

The role requires practical hand skills, familiarity with small hand tools, and the ability to follow physician prescriptions and manufacturer recommendations while maintaining inventory and supporting patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per company policy.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices using hand tools.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses as needed.
• Educate patients on application, use, care, and expected outcomes for DME products.
• Coordinate with vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
