Job summary

Hanger in Michigan is seeking a fabrication-focused technician to build and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices. You will work closely with clinicians and patients in a workshop setting, using hand tools and small machinery.

The role emphasizes fabrication skills, accuracy, and safe tool use. A high school diploma or GED is required, with some technical training or experience preferred. A valid driver's license is also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per company policy.
• Technical training or 2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Order, receive, and perform inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses such as cervical orthoses.
• Educate patients on application, use, care and outcomes for DME.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
