Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Columbia, SC, is seeking a fabrication technician to work closely with clinicians and patients to fabricate and repair orthoses and prosthetic devices.

This role focuses on hands-on fabrication in a workshop environment, using hand tools and small power tools to meet device specifications. You will manage inventory, handle ordering and receiving, assist with fitting and delivering prefabricated orthoses, and educate patients on use and care of DME products under physician

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or 2 years of fabrication experience preferred.
• Clean driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Order and receive supplies and manage inventory as assigned.
• Fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses and related components.
• Educate patients on application, care, and expected outcomes for DME products.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
