Qualifications

• State criminal background check and Federal checks if applicable.
• National CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains demographic/billing/insurance information and enters into the registration/billing systems for service and claim processing; scans insurance cards and photo IDs.
• May complete managed care responsibilities for pre-certification and authorizations.
• Prepares consent forms and notices, and obtains electronic signatures for consent to treat and patient financial obligations.
• Collects deposits, co-pays, deductibles, and patient liability payments; documents payments in systems.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician visits with initial information and vitals.
• Assists with immunizations, medication refills, and ECGs.
