Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic, billing, and insurance information and enter into the registration/billing systems for service and claim processing.
• May complete managed care responsibilities in regard to obtaining pre-certification and authorizations.
• Prepares consent forms and obtains signatures for treatment and financial obligations.
• Collect deposits/co-payments/deductibles/patient liability payments and document in systems.
• Prepares armband for patient identification and balances daily receipts/cash drawer.
• Initiates screenings and collects information for coverage; completes paperwork.
• Performs medical necessity checks and Advanced Beneficiary Notice as needed.
• Schedules/reschedules/cancels patients per hospital workflows.
• Checks order completeness and validates against scheduled service.
