The position emphasizes accurate registration, efficient appointment flow, and coordination with providers to ensure smooth patient care. A high school diploma is required, and health-care experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a health care setting performing similar functions preferred.
• Software/Hardware: Proficient in MS Office.

Aufgaben

• Greets and registers patients; notifies medical staff of their arrival.
• Verifies current address and insurance status.
• Schedules referral appointments with specialists, hospital testing and lab work.
• Completes prior authorization of testing according to insurance requirements.
• Checks out patient from the office; collects payments and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Maintains providers schedules, optimizing effective scheduling of appointments.
• Assists in developing and implementing systems to support effective patient registration.
• Makes recommendations to increase efficiency of patient care or administrative functioning.
