Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a division of OrthoLoneStar, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians at the TXO-South Austin Clinic. The role involves casting, bracing, patient prep, and medical record documentation in EMR, with attention to patient privacy and comfort.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and an MA certificate is preferred. One year of healthcare experience is desired; travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with physicians, staff and outside consultants.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and casting/bracing as directed.
• Prepare injections, take vital signs, and complete H&P questionnaires.
• Coordinate with the musculoskeletal team to maintain clinic flow and patient safety.
• Review schedules, ensure timely patient care, and document in the EMR.
