Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a division of OrthoLoneStar, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians at the Leander clinic in Texas. You will perform casting, bracing, patient prep, vitals, injections, and education while ensuring patient privacy and clinic efficiency.

You will use EMR systems, coordinate with staff, and assist with scheduling, referrals, and documentation. Travel to other locations may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• One year of health care experience, orthopedics preferred.
• MA certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, including casting and bracing.
• Prepare injections, take vital signs, and facilitate dressings.
• Process prescriptions, therapy orders, and patient education.
• Maintain a clean, efficient clinic and protect patient privacy.
• Document patient communications in EMR daily.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
