North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering musculoskeletal care. You will prepare patients, assist with orthopedic procedures (casting, bracing, wound care), and maintain EMR documentation in a fast-paced clinic.

The role emphasizes scheduling, patient education, and ensuring smooth patient flow across multiple sites as needed. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) or completion of an accredited MA program preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
  • Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS).
  • Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for visit and assists with examinations.
  • Interviews patient and records medical histories; may order x-rays.
  • Assists health care providers during examinations.
  • Performs dressing changes, vitals, blood draws, casts/splints, sutures removal, and prep of lab requests.
  • Completes EMR documentation and ensures up-to-date patient history.
  • Schedules appointments, tests, and procedures; follows up on results.
