Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a division of OrthoLoneStar, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care, castings, and bracing. You will prepare exam rooms, manage essential orders, and document in the EMR, contributing to efficient clinic flow and patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have high school completion, 1 year healthcare experience (orthopedics preferred), and MA certification is preferred. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• One year experience in healthcare, orthopedics preferred.
• MA certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care including casting and bracing.
• Prepare exam rooms and instruments; maintain clinic flow.
• Document patient information in EMR and manage orders.
• Assist with injections, vital signs, and suture/ dressing changes.
• Coordinate with staff and physicians to ensure efficient visits.
