Responsibilities

• Schedules surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a scheduling system.
• Enters patient charges and orders and compiles data for management reports.
• Acts as receptionist and liaison for department staff, physicians and families.
• Maintains physician privilege status and acquires necessary authorizations.
• Schedules physician block time and updates related calendars.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and supports workflow.
