Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in Texas seeks an experienced orthopedic sales professional to lead in-region growth through targeted sales plans and surgeon engagement. You will educate customers on Zimmer Biomet products, build lasting relationships, and mentor junior team members while meeting demanding sales targets.

The role requires extensive travel, strong communication, and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic medical device environment, with adherence to policies and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus a minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in orthopedic sales, or a minimum of 8 years’ proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
• Willing and capable of carrying weights up to 50 pounds, independently.
• Up to 95% travel by car, with up to 20% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals and objectives through the creation and execution of a sales plan in the assigned area.
• Drive sales growth through in-person interactions with current and prospective customers regarding Zimmer Biomet products.
• Mentor/lead other less experienced sales team members.
• Build strong relationships with key surgeons in the area and cover orthopedic procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.
• Plan, coordinate and execute local educational and sales events to augment the business and achieve sales goals.
• Provide support for referral networks and educate referrals on Zimmer Biomet products.
• Adhere to all laws and Zimmer Biomet policies and SOPs regarding HCP interactions, product handling and expenses.
• Provide after-hour and/or evening case coverage, weekend and on-call coverage as needed.
