Job summary

Genesis-Orthopedics- in Chicago is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based care for a diverse orthopedic patient base. You will conduct evaluations, plan and implement treatments, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include documenting in Epic Hyperspace, educating patients, and ensuring continuity of care within a multidisciplinary team. Illinois license and a DPT (preferred) are required; 2+ years in orthopedics is desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois.
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations including goniometry and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities to reduce pain and improve function.
• Educate patients on conditions, goals, and injury prevention for long-term recovery.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace EMR accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain a 1:1 PT to PTA ratio and supervise staff as needed.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development in orthopedic PT.
