Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Chicago seeks a motivated Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based care to a diverse orthopedic patient population. The role emphasizes thorough evaluations and individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.

You will apply manual therapy techniques such as Graston, Dry Needling, MDT and Mulligan, educate patients, document progress in Epic Hyperspace, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
• Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations including goniometry and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with physicians.
• Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan) and modalities to improve function.
• Educate patients on conditions, goals and injury prevention for long-term recovery.
• Document progress using Epic Hyperspace EMR.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Supervise a 1:1 PT to PTA ratio to ensure continuity of care.
• Pursue continuing education including Blood Flow Restriction Therapy.
