Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist to support the Richmond, VA territory within MedTech Orthopaedics. The role focuses on advancing sales through clinical and logistical expertise in operating rooms, including instrument management and billing coordination.

The position requires a strong clinical background, the ability to travel, and a drive to deliver value to surgeons and healthcare systems. A base salary range is provided in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; healthcare experience a plus.
• Associate degree or medical certification (CST, PT, etc.) with relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience or equivalent military experience.
• The ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Independently guide and assist surgeons in the operating room with clinical and technical support.
• Serve as sole Company representative to provide direct customer support during surgeries and ensure proper equipment availability.
• Troubleshoot, respond to physician needs, and manage hospital billing and purchase orders.
• Share insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic teams to improve solutions and service levels.
• Provide OR and Sterile Processing Department consultation; manage equipment deployment and asset tracking.
• Maintain promotional materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate logistics by moving instruments, implants, and equipment between representatives and hospitals.
