Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with patient flow, clerical tasks and care delivery. The role includes room preparation, escorting patients, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation across satellite offices.

Responsibilities include vitals, scheduling, allergies documentation, and assisting with orders and referrals while upholding safety and quality standards. Requires high school diploma and completion of an MA or phlebotomy program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and schedules appointments.
• Documents vitals, allergies, and medical information in EHR.
• Assists with orders, referrals and care coordination in PMS/EHR.
• Performs duties in a safe, compliant manner and supports care transitions.
