Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics in Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced orthopedic environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting with casting, bracing, wound care, and maintaining EMR documentation to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires high school diploma, CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, CPR certification, and experience in EMR and orthopedic settings. Travel between sites may be required; competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred or completion of an accredited MA program.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS).
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit and assists with examinations.
• Assists with orthopedic procedures such as casting, bracing, and wound care.
• Documents in EMR and maintains patient health histories.
• Schedules appointments, tests, procedures, and surgeries following protocols.
• Responds to patient calls and coordinates follow-ups in EMR.
• Maintains exam rooms and sterilizes equipment.
