Job summary

Texas Spine Consultants in Addison, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in an orthopedic setting. You will prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures such as casting or wound care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma and CMA/RMA/CCMA or completion of an accredited MA program; orthopedic experience and medical office exposure are preferred. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with orthopedics procedures.
• Interviews patients and records medical histories; may order x-rays.
• Assist health care providers during examinations as directed.
• Maintain EMR/records; ensure timely data entry and accuracy.
