Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in an orthopedic setting. You will prep patients, assist with casts/bracing and wound care, and maintain EMR documentation with accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and knowledge of orthopedic procedures, HIPAA, and CPR. Travel between site locations may be required and the team emphasizes high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification or completion of an accredited MA program preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS).
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visit; assist with examination and treatment.
• Interview patients, record histories, and may order X-rays per protocol.
• Assist providers during examinations.
• Perform dressings, vital signs, blood draws, casts/splints, sutures removal.
• Prepare and order medications, X-rays, rehab, and DME as directed.
• Document in EMR; update patient histories within 24 hours.
• Schedule appointments and tests; ensure follow-up care.
• Maintain and sterilize exam rooms and instruments.
• Travel between multiple site locations if applicable.
