Job summary

Resurgens-Orthopaedics seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care in an orthopedic setting. The MA prepares patients for examinations, assists with orthopedic procedures such as casting, bracing, and wound care, and ensures accurate EMR documentation.

Key duties include scheduling, coordinating tests and surgeries, maintaining exam rooms, and providing post-visit education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification preferred or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS)
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred
• Three years medical office experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist with examinations and imaging.
• Assist with casts, braces, wound care and other procedures.
• Document in EMR and manage test results.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Travel between multiple site locations (if applicable)
