Job summary

OrthoTexas Physicians & Surgeons, PLLC in Frisco, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in providing exceptional musculoskeletal care. The MA will prepare patients, assist with examinations and procedures, and maintain accurate EMR documentation in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.

The ideal candidate has MA certification, CPR, and experience with EMR systems. The role includes travel between site locations as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) or completion of an accredited MA program.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR/BLS).
• Two years orthopedic experience or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit by directing/accompanying to examination or X-ray room and assisting with positioning.
• Interviews patient and records medical histories; may order X-rays per provider order.
• Assists health care providers during examinations as directed.
• Maintains exam rooms and cleans between patient visits; assists with inventory and supplies.
• Schedules appointments, tests, procedures, and follow-ups; documents in EMR; coordinates patient flow.
