North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering musculoskeletal care. The role focuses on patient preparation, assisting with orthopedic procedures such as casting and wound care, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation to ensure a seamless workflow.

Responsibilities include scheduling, patient education, specimen handling, and coordinating with providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS).
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for visit by directing to examination or X-ray room and assists with positioning.
• Interviews patient and records medical histories; may order x-rays per protocol.
• Assists health care providers during examinations as directed.
• Performs dressing changes, vital signs, blood draws, casts/splints, sutures removal.
• Prepares and orders medications, x-rays, rehab, and DME as directed.
• Documents in EMR within 24 hours of visit.
• Schedules appointments and follow-ups per protocol.
• Maintains exam rooms and cleans between patients; stocks supplies.
