Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our Phoenix team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient service at the front desk, managing scheduling, and supporting insurance verification for physical therapy patients.

You will greet patients, check them in/out, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations while aiming to enhance the patient experience in a busy orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer / patient service
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/perform training on practice management software
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls; creates phone note in EMR; provides information to patients.
• Be the 1st point of contact for our patients: Greet, Check In, Check Out and provide excellent patient service.
• Manage schedule; assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements.
• Support front desk by keeping the area organized and running smoothly.
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder or uploading to the correct patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
• All other duties as assigned.
