OrthoArizona in Queen Creek, AZ is hiring a Medical Receptionist of all levels to join our elite team of healthcare providers. You’ll be the welcoming first point of contact, handling phones, scheduling, and insurance verification to keep our front desk running smoothly.

Starting pay is $17 per hour with a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage; basic life and disability; 401k; PTO; and wellness reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and patient-facing skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare terminology.
• Proficient with common computer programs and software used in medical offices.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a courteous, efficient manner and route calls.
• Greet patients, check in/out, and provide exceptional service.
• Assist with scheduling and insurance verification for physical therapy visits.
• Keep front desk organized and support staff with administrative tasks.
• Index patient documents to correct charts and route faxes to proper locations.
• Handle other duties as needed during downtime and as assigned.

As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:

• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Be the 1st point of contact for our patients : Greet, Check In, Check Out and provide excellent patient service.
• Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements
• Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include

• Excellent customer / patient service
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of medical office experience
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
