Job summary

OrthoArizona is hiring Medical Receptionists of all levels to join our elite healthcare team in Gilbert, AZ. Pay starts at $17/hour. The role offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for advancement within a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities include answering calls, routing messages, indexing documents, and assisting with other duties as needed. Prior experience with EMR (ModMed not required) and medical terminology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer/patient service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of computer programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/perform training on practice management software.
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• High School diploma or GED.

• Answer phones in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner; screen and route calls as needed; create phone notes in the patient EMR; provide information to patients.
• Index patient documents to the correct patient chart.
• Route electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder or upload to the correct patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during downtime.
• All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
