Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking an Associate Sales Representative to drive direct sales in the U.S. assigned territory, operating from a home office and visiting hospitals and ORs as needed.

The role requires building strong clinician relationships, product expertise, and rigorous execution of local sales plans. The position demands weekend/evening work around surgeries, a valid driver’s license, and up to 40k miles/year driven.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; may consider commensurate experience in lieu of education.
• Prior orthopedic sales experience preferred; and/or ability to learn and understand orthopedic concepts quickly
• Strong sales aptitude
• Strong work ethic and communication skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy; use of own vehicle with potential for driving up to 40K miles/year
• Able to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction outside clinical events
• Residence within the geographical contracted territory unless approved by Executive VP of Sales/CEO

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains customer relationships with clinical proficiency and business acumen.
• Develops and maintains expertise regarding total product line.
• Educates staff and clinicians on availability, use and maintenance of P28 products.
• Prepares weekly and monthly reports of business transactions/interactions.
• Manages and tracks customer activity, achieves quotas, reports on progress and competitor activities.
• Enters new data into delegated systems; ensures on-time delivery of products.
• Coordinates territory activity and training; travels to trade shows and meetings.
• Aggressively solicits orders from present and prospective customers.
