Job summary

Texas Orthopedics in Kyle, TX is seeking an orthopedic technician to support physicians with patient care, casting, bracing and DME. This full-time position reports to Clinic Purchasing Manager and requires OSHA compliance.

You will manage clinic inventory, oversee medications and samples, ensure EMR documentation, and assist with staff training. Candidates should have a high school diploma and MA or Ortho Tech certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA or Ortho Tech Certification preferred.
• 1 year experience as an Ortho Tech preferred.
• Experience in supply ordering and OSHA knowledge.
• 3 year history of casting, splinting, and applying DME.
• Mastery of clinic skills and DME/casting/splinting checklists.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with daily patient care activities including MA and Ortho Tech responsibilities.
• Responsible for ensuring clinic cleanliness and orderly inventory and storage of all DME and clinical supplies, assist with maintaining proper reorder levels.
• Assist Office Manager in the training and performance improvement of clinical staff; serve as a mentor and EMR resource.
• Be available to answer medical questions and voice concerns with respect to protocols, workflow or staffing.
• Work with physician staff to ensure quality patient care and compliance with standards.
• Support special projects as directed by Office Manager or Director of Patient Services.
• Manage assigned location inventory and be super user for the Inventory program.
• Capture insurance benefits and authorization requirements for DME.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and equipment checks.
