Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a Division of OrthoLonestar, seeks an experienced tech to assist physicians with patient care, including casting, splinting, bracing, and DME application. You will perform delegated visits, gather patient data, educate on care plans, and document in the EMR in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring OSHA-compliant operations, and supporting clinic efficiency. Strong communication with physicians and staff is essential, as is HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required.
• 2–5 years of clinical orthopedic/sports medicine experience preferred.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and LAT license required.
• Orthopedic Technician Certification or OPE-C preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care including casting, splinting, bracing, and DME.
• Perform delegated technical visits and document care in EMR promptly.
• Manage clinic inventory, supplies, and DME processes; maintain OSHA compliance.
• Educate patients on device use, home programs, activity restrictions, and precautions.
• Support clinic workflow by rooming patients and cross-covering staff as needed.
