VCU Health System Authority is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP- NP, PA) to deliver high-quality medical and/or surgical patient care in collaboration with the Attending Physician.

The APP provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services on a collaborative APP/Physician team and may perform histories and physicals, order and interpret tests, diagnose, treat, and assist with procedures.

Formación

• Provide patient care under collaboration with Attending Physician.
• Perform histories and physicals; order and interpret tests.
• Diagnose; treat injuries/illness; assist with procedures.
• Coordinate care across the continuum of services.
• Document and communicate effectively within the care team.

Responsabilidades

• Assess health status via history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret tests; diagnose and treat.
• Assist with surgical procedures as needed.
• Counsel patients and prescribe medications when appropriate.
• Document in medical records and coordinate care with team.
• Round with Attending Physicians and supervise care staff.
• Promote safety, infection control, and efficient use of resources.
