Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Orthopaedics for a part-time PRN role in the Richmond area. The APP (NP or PA) will work with an Attending Physician to deliver high-quality orthopedic care to patients with acute and chronic complaints.

Responsibilities include conducting histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting tests, diagnosing and treating, assisting with surgeries, prescribing medications, and coordinating care across the team.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program graduate.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to coordinate care with physicians and teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct histories and physicals for orthopaedic patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat injuries/illnesses within scope.
• Assist with surgical procedures.
• prescribe medications and manage care.
• Coordinate patient care with Attending Physician(s).
