Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for orthopedic patients in inpatient, perioperative, and ambulatory settings.
• Participates in perioperative care including first assisting in the operative suite when applicable.
• Performs integrated assessments and orders tests or consults as appropriate in collaboration with orthopedic faculty.
• Documents plan of care and clinical findings clearly in the medical record following policies.
• Provides education to patients, families, and staff and coordinates discharge planning.
