Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant Program
• Current Virginia licensure from the appropriate Board as NP/Nurse Midwife/PA
• Current national certification appropriate to the role
• Credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job titles
• CPR and BLS certifications; ACLS/PALS may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and patient care in collaboration with Attending Physician.
• Perform histories and physicals; order and interpret tests; diagnose and treat
• Assist with surgical procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
• Coordinate patient care across departments and document in the medical record
• Develop and implement treatment plans incorporating physical, spiritual and psychosocial aspects
