Job summary

The APP will provide patient-centered care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and participate in resident and student education within the Department of Orthopedics at Morgantown.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• CNOR Certification.
• BLS Certification with ALS training.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized orthopedic patient care in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Performs pre-procedure evaluations and postoperative follow-up.
• Coordinates care with orthopedic faculty and other health care team members.
• Documents plan of care and medical records in compliance with policies.
• Leads education for residents, students, and staff.
• Assists with discharge planning and follow-up appointments.
