Orthodontics Dental Assistant - PT Traveling (SOB $1,500)

What you'll do

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work alongside a talented Orthodontist, assisting in procedures such as initial impressions for Invisalign or traditional braces, fabrication of retainers, bracket and wire changes, and more. This role provides an opportunity to gain comprehensive skills and knowledge in dentistry through exposure to prep work, procedures, and post-operative care.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Assist our experienced dental team in delivering exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under supervision
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records

Requirements

Ensure you meet the following state-specific requirements before applying:

  • Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
  • Florida: EFDA certification and proof of training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit)
  • Georgia: CPR, EFDA certification, and proof of training to expose X-rays
  • Massachusetts: CPR, X-ray training, BORID certification, and annual CE as per regulations
  • Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification upon hiring, with an 8-week grace period if not available
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training
  • New York: Not applicable
  • Ohio: Proof of X-ray training, including FDOH Permit
  • Texas: CPR and TSBDE certification
