Job summary

Gentle Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator to convert orthodontic consultations into treatment starts while delivering a welcoming, informative, and supportive experience for patients and families.

You will partner with orthodontists and clinical teams to guide patients from evaluation through financial arrangements, scheduling, and treatment acceptance, aiming for strong case acceptance and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of dental or medical front office, treatment coordination, or related patient-facing experience.
• Orthodontic experience is strongly preferred
• Previous experience presenting treatment plans and discussing treatment costs with patients or families is preferred

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional experience for patients and families throughout the orthodontic consultation process.
• Build rapport with patients and parents and understand their goals, questions, and concerns.
• Partner with the orthodontist to present recommended orthodontic treatment in a clear and engaging way.
• Explain treatment timelines, expectations, and next steps.
• Present treatment fees, insurance benefits, financing, and available payment options.
• Help patients and families identify solutions to financial or scheduling barriers.
• Follow up with prospective patients who have not yet scheduled treatment.
• Coordinate treatment start appointments and ensure a smooth transition to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate patient, treatment, and financial information.
• Track consultations, pending treatment, case acceptance, and follow-up activity
• Collaborate with orthodontists, clinical teams, and office leadership to achieve patient care and practice goals
