Job summary

Rodeo Dental in Fort Worth is seeking a dental assistant to support orthodontists in treating patients, prepare tray setups, take diagnostic X-rays, and assist with bonding, debonding, and brackets.

Bilingual Spanish is preferred; you will work to provide excellent chairside assistance, manage impressions, and ensure smooth patient flow. Benefits include PTO, insurance options, and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient.
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment.
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures.
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart.
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials.
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays.
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients.
• Placing and cementing bands.
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands.
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions.
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor.
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos.
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models.
