Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Colorado is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support multiple locations and work closely with orthodontists. You will provide chairside assistance, help with tray setups, X-rays, bonding, bands, and impression materials while traveling to our Colorado locations.

Required are a DA Certificate and orthodontic experience; bilingual Spanish is preferred. Growth opportunities exist across our expanding practice and diverse specialty dentistry services.

Qualifications

• Assist orthodontist with chairside procedures.
• Take diagnostic X-Rays and attach to charts.
• Willing to travel to multiple Colorado locations.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orthodontic treatment and aligner care.
• Prepare tray setups according to doctor preferences.
• Maintain hygiene and infection control during procedures.
• Take patient photos and scans for clear aligners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willing to support multiple locations
• Orthodontic DA Experience
• DA Certificate
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
• Open to support mutliple locations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
• Placing and cementing bands
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models
• Travel to our CO locations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
