Job summary

Rodeo Dental is seeking a Travel Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant to support orthodontists in patient treatment, prepare materials, and take X-rays for patients in a dynamic clinical setting. Bilingual Spanish preferred to assist a diverse patient base and enhance communication with the doctor.

Responsibilities include chairside support, tray preparation, and assisting with bonding, debonding, and appliance placement while maintaining high standards of care and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with orthodontic team in clinical settings.
• Patient communication and chairside support skills.

• Mix amalgam and cement; prepare impression materials.
• Pour, trim and polish impression trays.
• Assist with bonding, banding, debonding of orthodontic patients.
• Place and cement bands; set up brackets and remove excess cement.
• Make retainers, bleaching trays and impressions.
• Provide excellent chairside assistance and anticipate next steps with doctor.

Travel Ortho Registered Dental Assistant

• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
• Placing and cementing bands
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
