Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Dallas is seeking a skilled dental assistant to support orthodontists across multiple locations. This role involves chairside care, preparing materials, taking X-rays, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate has orthodontic DA experience, an active RDA license, and the ability to travel to CO locations. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; we offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Dental software experience with Open Dental or Dentrix.
• Willing to support multiple locations.
• Orthodontic DA experience.
• RDA license.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist in treating patients.
• Instruct patients on elastic treatment.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences.
• Take diagnostic quality X-Rays and attach to patient chart.
• Mix amalgam, cement, and impression materials.
• Pour, trim and polish impression trays.
• Assist with bonding, banding, debonding orthodontic patients.
• Place and cement bands and set up brackets.
• Take photos and scans for aligners or models.
• Travel to CO locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience
• Willing to support multiple locations
• Orthodontic DA Experience
• RDA License
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
• Open to support mutliple locations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
• Placing and cementing bands
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models
• Travel to our CO locations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
