Job summary

Cosmic Kids in Henderson is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support orthodontists, prepare rooms, take X-rays, and help create a fun, kid-friendly visit for families. Training is available for the right candidate who loves working with children.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude, with daytime hours and occasional Saturdays. Certification in X-ray and CPR is required, and experience in orthodontics is preferred.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
