Job summary

Cosmic Kids in Henderson is seeking a reliable, energetic Orthodontic Assistant to help create a kid‑friendly, stress‑free dental experience. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, assist during appointments, take X‑rays, and maintain instruments.

X‑ray and CPR certification are required; 1 year of ortho experience is preferred, and an accredited orthodontic assistant program is a plus. This full‑time position (30+ hours/week) offers a flexible schedule, Saturdays possible, and a benefits package, with

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.

Requirements:

• X‑ray and CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice is preferred, but we will train the right person!

• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full‑time role (30+ hours per week).

A Typical Day as an Orthodontic Assistant:

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid‑friendly environment.

Schedule:

• Some Saturdays may be required.
• Daytime hours – No nights!
