Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Columbus, OH, is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to support our pediatric patients and team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during appointments, and help create a kid-friendly environment.

X-ray and CPR certification are required; 1 year ortho experience is preferred and completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program is a plus. This is a full-time role with daytime hours and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X‑rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid‑friendly environment.

Requirements:

• X‑ray and CPR certification is required.

A Typical Day as an Orthodontic Assistant:

• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid‑friendly environment.

Schedule:

• Some Saturdays may be required.
• Daytime hours – No nights!
